Rebecca was probably born in either St. Louis or Ste. Genevieve Co, Missouri. Rebecca Bittick and Walter C. McLaughlin were married on 2 February 1832 in Clark Co, Arkansas. Marriage Book A, page 76-77 Arkansas Territory Clark County I, William Kelley, an acting Justice of the Peace in this County and Territory aforesaid, do Certify that the marriage Serrimony was performed by me between Walter C. McLaughlin and Rebecca Bittick on this the 2d day of February A. D. 1832 William Kelley, J. P. Territory of Arkansas Sct County of Clark I hereby certify that the foregoing Certificate of Marriage was this day produced to me in my office and Ordered to be Recorded which is duly done. Witness my hand as clerk and Exoffico recorder for said County this 26th day of March 1832 and of the American independence the fifty Sixth.
