Bittick Reunion 2010

IT’S
TIME TO MARK A MOST IMPORTANT DATE ON YOUR CALENDAR!!!
The
15th Annual Bittick Reunion will be held on
Saturday,
April 10th
at
the Liberty Hill United Methodist
Church
in
Liberty Hill, Texas
10:00
a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
We will be gathering at the Liberty Hill United Methodist Church
again this year. You can check it out and get directions from their web site at
http://www.lhumctx.org/Directions.htm,
or go West on Hwy 29 from Georgetown to Liberty Hill and turn left onto RR1869.
After crossing the railroad tracks make the next left and the church will be a short way down on your left. We'll meet at 10:00 AM as usual.
Our attendance last year was a little low, & some of you may be wondering
why we changed locations. The Andice
Community Center
was charging us $100 to meet there. The
facilities were getting somewhat "dated" & the Spivey family
offered the use of their church at no fee. Their
facilities are wonderful, & they made every effort to make us welcome. We are
very grateful that we have this opportunity again this year. (After all, we are Bittick's & love
to
save a dollar & our bank account is
getting smaller!)
This
year we'd like to visit the Andice
Cemetery first so we plan to meet at the church at 10:00 & carpool.
If you know the way to the cemetery and it's more convenient for you to
meet us there, please do so. We'll still have time once we get back to the
church to get to know each other, update our records, and look at old pictures
and memorabilia that you might bring (and we hope you do).
The dinner will be ready for us around noon and will include:
barbeque beef, beans, potato salad, coleslaw & peach
cobbler – all that for only $8.00!
If you’re not a fan of peach cobbler, feel free to bring
another dessert and also your
own soft drinks. Coffee, tea,
lemonade and ice will be available. No alcoholic beverages, please.
Following the dinner, we will
have
time to discuss who and what is new in the family. Our door prize
drawings
have been very popular
for the past couple of years so we’re asking you to again
bring
an item from your local area/town for our drawings.
This is also the weekend for the annual Burnett
Bluebonnet Festival. If you've
never been before, you've been missing a great event.
The festival opens on
Thursday night & continues through 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Some of you may wish to leave early so you
can attend and some of you
may want to stay around and
visit. We hope you will!!!
We know how the Bittick's love to talk!
We have the fellowship hall
until 5:00.
We have a block of rooms reserved at the LaQuinta Inn in Georgetown. You will need to call for reservations by March 10
(512-869-2541).
Mention the Bittick Reunion when you call.
In order to make adequate preparations, we ask that you RSVP
by April 1st to either
Pam Baker or Johnny Bittick.
To RSVP or for more information, contact Pam or Johnny at the e-mail
address on the home page.
Please share this information
with your family members. If you
send us their address, we’ll be glad to mail them a flyer.
Hope to see YOU on April 10th!
