Short Methodist Church & Cemetery

south of Center, Shelby Co, Texas

Take Highway 96 South from Center about 4 miles. You will see the sign, "Short Cemetery ". Turn Right on County Road 1024 - go about 1/2 mile. Turn left on County Road 1005 until you see the Short Methodist Church on the Right. The Cemetery is located to the rear of the church.

The Furman Hays referred to in the plaque above, is the son of Martha Belinda Bittick Hayes & John Wesley Hayes. Martha Belinda was called, Aunt Linnie.
